First training at Evolve Muay Thai

It was tough, really although HTMT was harder but after not working out my body the same way for some time, I’m pretty much shacked out already. I completely forgot all my basics Thankfully I said that I’m new to the sport. Master Daorung said my stance is completely unstable and to prove it we had a little duel and its true I couldnt block his kicks at all =( And it was the first time I kicked a punching bag and my feet are just peeling their skins like snakes. Feels like I just scalded my leg and I was thinking of going again tommorow HAHAHA what a joke.

My fitness is seriously lacking so right now I am going to dedicate myself to:

1.Running at least 5km 2 times a week
2.Heading to the gym 3 times a week
3.Going down to Evolve 2-3 times a week

I’ve decided to join Evolve, hoping that my love for mixed martial arts will last while I mug in university

Why Liverpool could win the title this year

1.Hunger
-It’s been 18 years since they last won the league title and a lot of Liverpool fans and players will have a bigger desire to win it.

2.No more tinkering
-Last season, I was always talking to my friend about the team Benitez will play for every game and the formation always changed. We could find alonso and mascherano playing in one game and suddenly one of them will be dropped the next. On the wings it was even harder guessing whether Babel, Benayoun, Kuyt, Pennant, Finnan, Kewell would play. But this year, it’s been very steady so far with the unearthing of Reira and Kuyt proving all the critics wrong. Also, Benitez has stuck with his 4-2-3-1 formation leaving the solid Mashcerano and Alonso

3. Not the same dependance on Torres
- Last season, Torres alone scored 24 of the Liverpool’s 76 goals in the league. So far this season, Kuyt and Gerrard have taken over the responsibility of scoring although we still cannot doubt the class Torres possesses as he single handedly helping Liverpool scrap out wins over Man C, Wigan and Sunderland.

4. Defence
-Now I know that Liverpool has already conceeded 8 goals this sesaon compared to Chelsea’s 4 but note that 4 of those goals were in 3-2 wins over Wigan and Man C. 2 were in 2-1 wins over Man U and Boro and 2 in the loss against Tottenham. So in all only 2 goals have cost them dearly. I think this is because they defend from the front line with Kuyt working his socks off every game, chasing down defenders, giving them no time to work out something. And with Mascherano and Alonso protecting the back 4, its hard to get past them especially with General Carragher around.

5. Abilty to scrap out wins
-Wins over Sunderland, Boro, Man U, Man C, Wigan, Chelsea and Portsmouth show that when the game get tough, they’re able to grind out wins especially the wins over Sunderland, Boro and Portsmouth. These are the games that champions have to win whether its ugly or beautiful football and Man U did it very well last year, hopefully, they don’t slip up like they did against Tottenham and I hope the stalement against Stoke was just a one-off

6. Steven Gerrard
-He hasn’t been as impressive as he was last year but I think it’s because we’ve come to expect more and more from him as he’s been playing so well the past few years. But quietly, he’s been leading the charge for the title, leading by example showing his tenacity and grit.

Now I know my points might just be controversial but its what I think. I’ll try to do up the same thing for Man U and Chelsea and hope to hear your views guys! =D
